Bellator 156 gets co-main event

The Bellator 156 fight card is shaping up with the announcement of a co-main event bout between former welterweight champion Douglas Lima pitted against Chidi Njokuani.
Lima lost his welterweight strap to current champ Andrey Koreshkov at Bellator 140 last July.  Lima, currently 8-2 under the Bellator promotion, is looking for revenge and a win over Njokuani could catapult him into title contention.
Njokuani, the younger brother of former UFC and WEC vet Anthony Njokuani, is looking to stake his claim as a title contender.  This is Njokuani’s second fight under the Bellator promotion, with a unanimous decision victory over Ricky Rainey last November.  A win over the former champ could potentially launch him into title discussion.  Perhaps the winner of the Brennan Ward, Cyborg Santos tilt at Bellator 153, or a potential fight with the flashy, unorthodox and undefeated Michael Page?
Bellator 156 will take place at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California on June 17th.  The card will feature the bantamweight championship rematch between Current champ Marcos Galvao and former champ Eduardo Dantas.  Main card airs on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
