Three blue chip prospects have been added to the Bellator 171 card.
The Bellator 171 card is now complete and will have three of the best prospects in the promotion on display. An extremely talented wrestler Jarod Trice will make his second appearance in the Bellator cage. Division two wrestler of the year Tyrell Fortune will also make his second appearance as well as the highly touted Brazilian Bruna Ellen, who will look to get back to her winning ways.
Light heavyweight Jarod Trice had an impressive début against Tommie Britton at Bellator 167, working his way to a majority decision victory. The former two time All-American, National Title winner and two time Roman Greco National Champion, will step into the Bellator cage for the second time against Kevin Woltkamp.
Heavyweight Tyrell Fortune is a beast of a man. He has enjoyed success at every level of wrestling he’s competed at. He was a multiple time state champion and was crowned 2013 Division II Wrestler of the Year after picking up the Division II championship title in the process. He made a seamless transition into the Bellator cage smashing Cody Miskell in the first round of his debut. He will look to repeat those results at Bellator 171 against Will Johnson.
Bruna Ellen is a highly touted female flyweight prospect out of Brazil. She started her career with back-to-back victories, one by TKO. She made the jump to Bellator last August to take on Jessica Middleton at Bellator 159. Things didn’t go her way as she dropped a unanimous decision to Middleton, but she’s ready to put that behind her and get herself back into the win column at Bellator 171.
