Josh Koshcheck Will Finally Make His Bellator Debut

Josh Koshcheck will make his long awaited debut at Bellator 172.

Bellator 172: Mitrione vs Emelianenko is set for February 19 at the SAP Centre in San Jose, California. Also on the card veteran Josh Thomson meets Patricky Friere. Now most recently added in long time UFC veteran Josh Koshceck will meet Mauricio Alonso.

Koshceck has been scheduled to make his Bellator debut on a couple of occasions, but it has failed to come to fruition. He was first scheduled to take on Matt Secor in January of last year, but Koshcheck came up hurt. Following that he was scheduled to take on long time foe Paul Daley, but again came up injured. Koshcheck actually hasn’t won a fight in nearly five years and his last outing was nearly two years ago when he was choked out by Erik Silva.

His opponent Mauricio Alonso will be riding on a wave of confidence after winning two straight and also  the Dragon House middleweight title in late August of last year. However the last time he stepped inside the Bellator cage was September 2016 where he dropped a unanimous decision against Nick Pina.

Bellator 172 will go down Feb. 19 at the SAP Centre in San Jose, California. You can catch the prelims thorugh live stream at Bellator.com and the main card as always at 9pm on Spike TV.
