ONE: QUEST FOR POWER Just Received Two More Fights

ONE Championship just added two exciting fights to their ONE: QUEST FOR POWER card.

One Championship is headed back to Jakarta, Indonesia and lightweights Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev and Georgi Stoyanov as well as light heavyweights Igor Subora and Sherif Mohamed have been added to the card.

Arslanaliev, the undefeated native of Dagestan is one of ONE Championship’s prospects to watch out for in 2017. It isn’t surprising considering he’s currently 4-0 with an average fight time of under a minute. To say he’s been dominant would be an understatement. The other side of the coin is that he’s yet to face any tough competition, but that will change against Stoyanov of Bulgaria.

Stoyanov has triple the amount of fights as all of Arslanaliev’s previous competition combined. The Bulgarian lightweight is far from his prime, but his experience should be a challenge in itself. Stoyanov will be looking to get back into the win column against the inexperienced Arslanaliev after taking a loss in 8 of his last 10 fights. Interestingly though Stoyanov has never been knocked out and Arslanaliev has proved to be something of a knockout specialist. It will be interesting to see which way this goes.

Filipino heavyweight champion Igor Subora is making the move to light heavyweight after dropping back to back fights against ONE heavyweight champion Brandon Vera and Alain Ngalani. Subora is a kill or be killed kind of fighter, he has never been out of the first round in his eight professional fights. The Ukrainian power puncher has finished four of his five wins by knockout. It will be interesting to see how his power translates to light heavyweight.

Sherif Mohamed is making his ONE Championship début. He carries an impressive 8-1 record and is no stranger to ending fights either. The Egyptian light heavyweight has only been outside of the second rounds once and has finished all eight of his fights. He’s a well-rounded fighter with four finishes by TKO/KO and four by submission. With both fighters displaying this sort of finishing ability the fight should bring fireworks.

ONE: QUEST FOR POWER goes down at the Jakarta Convention Center in Indonesia, on January 14.
