Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson will make his highly anticipated Bellator return against former Olympic Judo gold medalist Satoshi Ishii.
The two will be featured as the main event at Bellator’s ‘Dynamite 2’ event which will feature a mix of both kickboxing and MMA.
Jackson is making his return to Bellator after a lengthy legal battle and a brief in the UFC. The legal battle stemmed from a disagreement between both parties regarding the terms of Jackson’s contract, specifically pay-per-view returns and lack of fight promotion. Jackson, currently riding a four-fight win streak, is looking to build on his previous success with Bellator after posting a 3-0 record.
Across the octagon, Ishii is making his Bellator debut after a vicious KO loss last December at the inaugural Rizin event, at the hands of Jiri Prochazka. The former Olympian has fought the cream of the crop in the heavyweight decision including Fedor Emelianenko, Tim Sylvia and Mirko Cro Cop. Ishii is currently 14-5-1 as a pro and with a win over Rampage could line him up for a potential marquee fight with Bellator.
The event will take place on June 24th in St. Louis Missouri.
